Interviews
Charles Bambauer said that he worked at L'Amour East (also known as "The Edge") the night of April 10th from 11:00pm until around 4:30am April 11, 1987.
Bambauer stated: "They showed me a picture of a dead kid and asked me if I knew him. He looked beat up, his face destroyed. He was hit bad. I couldn't be sure. I was told the kid died of a drug overdose by the detectives."
He also said that there were about ten bouncers on duty that night and
probably one thousand customers there.
A club patron told detectives "the talk in the club was that the bouncers beat up Christopher but did not mean to kill him. Chris banged his head, and the bouncers threw him outside. He said the club is Mafia owned."
